Q: What's the inspiration behind your yarn colors and their names?
A: We're inspired by Gothic themes and Heavy Metal music.
Q: Are your yarns ethically sourced?
A: Yes. Our yarn bases are sourced from cruelty-free and mulesing-free farms throughout the Americas.
Q: I need more yarn for a project I'm working on. I only see one available in the color I want. What do I do?
A: We can certainly set up a custom order for you and dye enough yarn for your project. Please allow about two weeks for all yarn to be dyed before it can be shipped. Hand dyed yarns vary slightly from skein to skein so this is the best way to ensure that you have the closest colors possible for your project. Also, when working on large projects requiring you to use several hanks or skeins of yarn, make sure to alternate yarns between rows for a more even appearance.
Q: Can you send my yarn already wound into a cake?
A: Yes, we sure can free of charge. Just let us know.
Q: Where are you guys located?
A: We're located in Philadelphia, PA, USA.
Q: How soon can I expect my order to arrive?
A: We ship all our yarns within three days of receiving your order. We ship via USPS First Class Mail in the U.S. and USPS First Class Mail International everywhere else. Shipping times vary according to destination.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: If you'd like a refund or exchange please contact us within 30 days of the purchase date. Yarn must still be in its original condition (in a hank and not wound into a ball or cake) in order for it to be eligible for a refund or exchange.
Please note that you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Q: I really like your colorways but am not exactly a fan of Metal or Goth. Can I still buy your yarn?
A: Absolutely! Just be you and like what you like... no apologies! :)
Q: Where else can I buy your yarn?
A: In addition to this website, we are proud to say that Knitting is Metal carries a selection of our yarns on their website.
